What is iCDc?A1. iCDc is an editor for the CD Info.cidb file that iTunes uses to store general and track information about Audio CDs that you have inserted into the computer. iCDc can add CDs, download information about Audio CDs from a service called freedb.org. You can also export the library to HTML for example to post on your web site. Q2. Why are not tracks playing time displayed? A2. When iTunes adds a CD to the CD Info.cidb file, it doesn't add any information about the tracks length. If you let iCDc add the CD, this information will be included. Q3. I've bought a new Mac, how do I get my library on that Mac too? A3. Copy the CD Info.cidb file from your old Mac (look in /Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/) to the new Mac and put it in the same folder (~/Library/Preferences/). Q4. What formats can iCDc import? A4. iCDc can import the following formats: *.cidb, iTunes Library.xml and CD Remote Programs. Q5. How do I sort my library? A5. If you are in the list view, simply click the column header. Otherwise, right click the list will show a popup menu with a Sort menu. You can also specify the sort order in the Preferences. Q6. I exported to Tab delimited and tried to import this file using iCDc but got nothing. Why? A6. iCDc does not support that kind of imports. Read more about importing and supported formats here. |
